A new Applique Collection – Part 1

I love applique.  Being able to use up all of the small bits of fabric that you have, and make a beautiful picture at the same time.

Last year I was so proud to bring you all the Beach Babes collection, then in January we added the Crusin Caravans, now I am completing the trilogy with  Beach Huts.  In Melbourne (Victoria, Australia), Brighton Beach is famous for it’s beach houses, all lined up along the sand.  I believe there is a similar beach in England.  These memories have inspired this collection, and I am so happy to show you the first few images from my stitch outs.

This collection will have not only the huts, but beach furniture and signs, as well as surfboards in the sand.  Over the next few days, I am looking forward to showing you all of these designs as I stitch them out.

Until next time, have a Stitchin’ week.  Julie.
