Hello all, and thank you for taking the time to read today’s post.Today I want to share with you a new tool for my embroidery arsenal, and how I am using it to achieve perfect placement.
The tool is the Designs in Machine Embroidery Perfect Placement Tool, and includes templates for all different types of embroidery projects, from serviettes, boxers, towels, and clothing, and pillowcases.
For today, I am going to share with you how I have used these templates to create perfectly aligned designs on some serviettes purchased from K-mart.
Step 1. Take your serviette, and press with a warm iron. Make sure you remove any tags at the back, and lightly starch your serviette.
Step 2. Take the Perfect Placement template for Napkins/Serviettes (depending on which side of the pond you are on), and align the markings on the template, with the edge of the serviette.
Step 3. Take one of the target positioning stickers, and place in the alignment area, showing the centre placement of the design.
Step 4. Hoop stabiliser firmly in the hoop, and lay the serviette over the top. Secure with the MagnaPins to secure the fabric to your stabiliser in the hoop.
Step 5. Move over to your machine, and load your design.
Step 6. Attach the hoop to the machine, and using your machine’s positioning options, move the hoop until the needle is correctly in the centre position of the target sticker.
Step 7. Remove the target sticker, and stitch out your design.
Step 8. Repeat steps 1-7 for all of the serviettes, and you will see they all align perfectly with this amazing tool.
